Movember Coffee Hour

This November, HSH’s E&I committee hosted a coffee hour to recognize and learn about Movember, an annual event where men grow moustaches to raise awareness on men’s physical and mental health. Movember is a play on words for the Australian-English nickname for moustache, “Mo,” mixed with the month in which it’s recognized, “November.” As part of the coffee hour, we watched videos explaining why Movember is important, discussed some of the challenges and stigmas men face in getting much needed physical and mental health assistance, and thought about how some of these stigmas present themselves in our lives.
