MBTA Communities Catalyst Fund
HSH’s Municipal Services team provides coordinated support to help communities plan, fund, and deliver projects efficiently. From early project definition through grant strategy and implementation, we help municipalities navigate funding opportunities and advance work that aligns with local priorities.
Steve Tyler, P.E., works closely with municipalities to help identify opportunities, shape strong applications, and move projects forward with confidence. Backed by HSH’s broader municipal team, he helps communities connect planning, funding, and delivery so priority projects can gain traction and advance.
Funding Opportunity for Municipalities
The MBTA Communities Catalyst Fund is now open as part of the FY27 Community One Stop for Growth round. This funding supports compliant MBTA Communities with projects that help advance housing production, including infrastructure, housing-related development, and acquisition efforts tied to local implementation goals.
Key Details:
- Available to MBTA Communities with an approved, compliant 3A district
- Offered through the Community One Stop for Growth process
- Full application period begins May 4, 2026
- Full applications are due June 3, 2026
This is an important opportunity for communities that are ready to move from compliance toward implementation and want to position themselves and potential projects for positive results and future infrastructure grant funding opportunities.
