Erin Reed

Manager of Community Engagement

Erin works closely with HSH’s engineering and planning groups to integrate community engagement into projects. During her time as Senior Statewide Coordinator for the MassDOT Safe Routes to School (SRTS) Program, she served as team lead for equitable and sustainable outreach initiatives promoting localized SRTS programs in over 200 Massachusetts communities. She was recently named one of ACT’s “40 Under 40” for her six years as a leader in transportation demand management. Erin managed HSH’s public outreach efforts on the MBTA Green Line Extension (GLX) project in Somerville and Medford, and she is currently managing a variety of outreach efforts for MassDOT, the MBTA, and private developers. Erin helped the GLX team pivot to virtual meetings and engagement when the pandemic hit in March 2020. She is well-versed in all aspects of both in-person and virtual outreach. Erin graduated from University of Saint Joseph with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies.
