Massachusetts Offers Several Funding Programs

HSH completed Leicester’s Complete Streets Prioritization Plan, identified high-scoring projects for potential funding, and helped the Town obtain construction funding from the Complete Streets Funding Program. HSH designed the Town Common Improvements that included shared-use paths, sidewalks, raised crosswalks, and reconstructed pathways.

Provides financial support to municipalities for small bridge replacement, preservation, and rehabilitation.

Helps cities and towns address congestion related to bottleneck conditions on local roadways.

Increases safe biking and walking among elementary and middle school students using a community-focused approach that bridges the gap between health and transportation.

DER Culvert Replacement Grant Program
Division of Ecological Restoration (DER) provides funding for replacing an undersized, perched, and/or degraded culvert located in an area of high ecological value.

Provides support to begin the process of planning for climate change resiliency and implementing priority projects.
