South Station Air Rights

Boston, Massachusetts

This Project proposes developing air rights between the South Station Headhouse and the southern end of the South Station Transportation Center. This inter-modal transportation and commercial center envisioned by the Boston Planning and Development Agency (BPDA) and the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) for almost four decades is expected to include a mix of office, residential, hotel, retail, service, and/or restaurant uses.

The development will include a tower and two mid-rise buildings, expansion of the existing Bus Terminal, and modifying and expanding the parking facilities. Phase 1 is currently in the final design phase and includes a 51-story tower, train platform improvements, and the expansion of the Bus Terminal and parking facilities. Phase 1 will provide over 700,000 gross square feet of office space, retail space, and 175 residential units, and is targeting LEED Gold Certification.
