Lower Main Street over Green River Bridge Replacement (G-12-007)

The project includes the complete replacement of Bridge G-12-007 (0UG) which is a single-span bridge that carries Route 2A over the Green River. The bridge has a span length of 133’-0” from centerline-to-centerline of bearing and is not on a skew. HSH scope includes preliminary bridge design, including a bridge type selection worksheet and bridge sketch plans along with highway design, traffic engineering and temporary traffic control design and permitting. HSH will be conducting the environmental permitting efforts include MEPA/NEPA Determination and CE Checklist filing, and the Wildlife/Rare Species Assessment. HSH completed MassDOT’s Impaired Waterbody Assessment and WQDF for this project. HSH has evaluated and designed for the treatment requirements based on the appropriate watershed and project type. HSH evaluated the feasibility stormwater control measures including enhancing and preserving existing vegetation, reducing impervious cover and evaluating natural hydrologic patterns. HSH also evaluated structural stormwater control measures for this project.
