I-90 Bridge over Route I-95/128 and Charles River

This very important interchange features the mainline I-90 bridge over Route I-95/128 and Charles River which was constructed in 1964 and is an eight (8) simple span structure with an approximate total length of 1000’.  The project also has the mainline I-90 over the MBTA/CSX Railroad bridge which was constructed in 1965 and is a simple span bridge on a 66-degree skew.

Paul W. Berthiaume, P.E., worked on the preliminary design of these two particular structures, that will be a part of a future MassDOT design build project. This project was performed while at another firm.
