1234-1240 Soldiers Field Road

HSH is providing transportation planning, and civil and traffic engineering services for the redevelopment of The Skating Club of Boston site and the future redevelopment phase of the adjacent Studio Allston hotel site. The proposed redevelopment will involve demolishing the existing on-site buildings, removing the existing surface parking, and constructing a residential and hotel development spanning three separate buildings. In total, the Project will include approximately 455 residential units, 250 hotel rooms, 20,000 square feet (sf) of first floor retail space, and structured parking for approximately 365 vehicles.

The Project team is working closely with the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR), who owns and maintains Soldiers Field Road, and is investigating a pedestrian bridge over the roadway. The Project has received Boston Planning Board-approval for a Planned Development Area and Large Project Review, and a Massachusetts Environmental Policy Act (MEPA) certificate (Final Environmental Impact Report (FEIR)).
