“Our newest Associate Principals offer significant depth of understanding and experience with projects of all sizes and complexities that stretch across many geographic and technical areas. They all understand the challenges that our clients face, especially in these unprecedented times, and offer cost-effective, creative, and innovative solutions. I am so pleased to announce and congratulate Brian, Elizabeth, and Steven!” – Tom Stokes, President

Brian, Co-Manager of Transportation Permitting, is responsible for maintaining communications with clients and for providing QA/QC of key project deliverables, most notably for permitting development projects within the City of Boston. This work begins with transportation site design assistance that sets the tone for developments to create multi modal, vibrant urban places, through the Article 80/MEPA permitting process, and culminating with the completion and approval of Transportation Access Plan Agreements prior to construction. Brian continues to expand his transportation engineering and planning skills while having developed a proven track record as an experienced project manager and a public speaker that effectively presents transportation components of projects in public hearings and other public speaking forums.  Click here for more information on Brian.

Elizabeth joined HSH 14 years ago, playing a key role in developing our Land Development group where she is currently Co-Manager of Transportation Permitting.  With over 30 years of regional and national experience, she understands transportation issues related to land development, local and regional access, and highway and arterial operations.  Elizabeth’s recent projects have focused on the City of Boston’s and the State’s permitting review processes and include many residential, office, lab, and mixed-use developments in downtown Boston and adjacent neighborhoods. Additionally, she has extensive experience on transportation issues for K-12 schools, university campuses, senior centers, and senior-living facilities.  When it comes to understanding the transportation aspects of a Project, our clients, design teams, municipal staff, and the public each benefit from Elizabeth’s successful combination of enthusiasm, technical proficiency, and communication skills.  She is a member of CREW Boston, Urban Land institute, and the Melrose Traffic Commission.  Click here for more information on Elizabeth.

Steven leads our Worcester office and draws upon a talented group of transportation engineers, planners, and public outreach specialists to assist clients with realizing their visions in a well thought out, collaborative way. Steven has more than 30 years of engineering experience in both the public and private sectors. His role as the former Public Works Director for the Town of Spencer allows him to better understand the balance of delivering municipal projects with budgetary limitations, constituent expectations, and procurement challenges. His diverse experience is in a wide range of civil engineering, development, and transportation projects.  Click here for more information on Steven.

Please join us in congratulating Brian, Elizabeth, and Steven!
