October 26, 2012
As a sign of her heightened stature in the transportation planning field, Keri Pyke, P.E., PTOE, was requested to serve as an expert panelist on the Urban Land Institute’s (ULI) Technical Assistance Panel (TAP) in Framingham. The panel was assembled to address economic development growth opportunities in the area of the Framingham Technology Park. The panel also included an architect, an urban planner, a traffic engineer, a civil engineer, a landscape architect, and a health specialist.
ULI assembles the group to suggest improvements, pro bono, for the community involved. For the Framingham Technology Park, the panel suggested immediate recommendations such as carpooling and commuter rail connections for the employees, as well as long term steps, which include significant changes to the Turnpike ramps in order to ease traffic congestion in the area.
