HSH Succeeds at Moving Together Conference on October 23, 2013

October 23, 2013

HSH was actively involved in the 2013 Moving Together Conference, MassDOT’s annual statewide healthy transportation meeting. Each year, the conference features the State’s leaders who are committed to advancing healthy transportation, offering an array of workshops geared to the central theme, “Transit + Walking + Bicycling = Mobility.” This year’s conference was hosted on October 23rd at the Park Plaza Hotel in Boston – a vastly expanded venue compared to prior years.

As the conference theme states, all three modes comprise healthy transportation and support MassDOT’s Mode Shift and GreenDOT Policies. The conference had several keynote speakers, including Richard A. Davey, Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of the Massachusetts Department of Transportation, Thomas P. Glynn, Chief Executive Officer of the Massachusetts Port Authority, Gregory Bialecki, Secretary of Housing and Economic Development, and Richard K. Sullivan Jr., Secretary of the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs.

HSH was present as an exhibitor, displaying the company’s ongoing projects that support transportation mode-shifts to walking, bicycling, and transit. HSH Principal, Keri Pyke, P.E., PTOE, participated in a panel focused on balancing corridor-specific transportation options. Keri discussed HSH’s design for bicycle accommodations on the well-known Dorchester Avenue Reconstruction Project.
