HSH is leading a parking and access study to help the Town of Milton reclaim the East Milton Square area as a viable town center. The team is working with Town staff and other government agencies, the business community, and residents to better understand the short- and long-term constraints, articulate a vision for the area, and produce practical and implementable recommendations to correct any observed deficiencies in order to achieve the vision. The study is addressing 3 challenges:

• to validate the goals and objectives, define the evaluation criteria, and develop the public participation plan;
• to collect pertinent data and further develop and evaluate the issues; and
• to address or minimize the identified issues and present up to five alternative scenarios for short- and long-term improvements, including a No-Build alternative, a Locally Preferred Alternative, and the HSH team’s recommended alternative.
