HSH Launches Civil Engineering Field Office in Topsfield
9/7/2009
The award-winning consulting firm Howard/Stein-Hudson Associates (HSH) recently launched a field office in Topsfield, Massachusetts, to more easily provide engineering and planning services to its growing base of municipal and private clients across Boston’s North Shore, southern New Hampshire, and southern Maine.
The office, led by HSH Director of Civil Engineering Thad D. Berry, P.E., is located at 363 Boston Street (Route 1), Topsfield, MA 01983, in a complex that also houses Donohoe and Parkhurst Land Surveyors, with whom Berry has developed a strong working relationship over the years, as well as an architectural firm and a financial planning firm. The shared quarters will facilitate cooperative efforts and enhance HSH’s ability to provide comprehensive services to clients. HSH and Donohoe and Parkhurst are currently working together on a proposed hotel development in Gloucester.
Initially, the Topsfield office will concentrate on offering civil engineering and site design services, later adding in its roadway design, traffic engineering, transportation planning, and public involvement/strategic planning services, which have earned the firm a solid reputation over its 22 years in operation—particularly in the Boston area and across Massachusetts.
Berry will staff the office on a part-time basis and continue to work from HSH’s headquarters in downtown Boston as well.
With more than 27 years of experience in all aspects of civil engineering, Berry holds P.E. licenses in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine, as well as being licensed as a Title V Soil Evaluator by the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection and as a Designer of Subsurface Disposal Systems by the State of New Hampshire.
